Hiatus

With everything going on with my dad, who is very sick, as well as school and other personal issues... I'm going to take a little time off from blogging.

I expect maybe about a month or so till I'm back in the mood...
You know how it is guys.

Don't worry, Mocha Fox will be back before you know it.

Love you all!

Travel Announcement!

Just a heads up... I won't be updating the blog this week since I will be traveling to Tulsa once more to see my dad. It's his birthday and he is finishing another round of chemo so the whole family is going up there to help out and see him. I'll be back home over the weekend.

In the meantime.. here is a classy picture of me and some of my ladies before we had too many Fireball shots and twerked on a wall in a drag bar.
Yes.. It unfortunately really happened.

But at least we look damn good.

Old Friends.

I got to hang out with this super Champion dude last night. He's an old friend from high school that I had Foods class with and was one of the guys in our Prom group... Years have passed but the friendship has never changed.

He's still the same completely insane guy I've always known which is great because...
You might recognize him from this.

Yep.
Stefan, my old friend, is part of the KriStef Brothers which recently competed on America's Got Talent.
Unfortunately they were eliminated from the Finals but they are going on tour soon.
I got to catch up with him while he was briefly in town before starting tour...
Heard some crazy stories and what the act would have been if they made it to finals..
You guys missed out if you didn't vote!

I'm incredibly proud of him though.
Stefan was made for fame and it hasn't gone to his head at all.
He's still the exact same crazy and outrageous dude I've known since high school.
I'm always so happy to see my friends do what they love and make something of themselves.
Though it is weird to see him made into gifs and have a fandom on Tumblr.

Make sure to catch them when they come to a city near you (they are basically traveling all over the USA in October), you really don't want to miss them!
You can find their touring schedule and book tickets here.

A Dress for a Date

I can already hear all of your gasps of surprise.
"She went out on a date?"
"Already?"
"But she hasn't even been single for a whole month.."
"I thought she loved Kris..."

Hold on to your horses people.
There is a story here and not one I'm quite ready or willing to disclose.
I do still miss and love Kris. Always will.
But I'm also not dead and...
This was more of a group thing to celebrate a close friend's belated birthday.

So...
With that in mind.
I recently went out to Gordon Ramsey's Pub & Grill
Which was delicious by the way.
But as Shark Week was surfacing, I was having a difficult decision in figuring out what to wear...
I literally tore my closet to shreds, it was one of those moments.
Luckily I stumbled across this dress in the very back of closet that I had only worn once before to a Mormon wedding.

I threw on the dress along with one of my favorite metal magnetic bracelets and my all time favorite hair bow...
And I was ready to go!

My favorite thing about this dress is that it has some lift to it...
So while I still kept my figure around the waist, my bloated tummy was hidden.
It also fits me a lot better now.
Win win for everyone!

I love this necklace I recently picked up.
I don't usually like gold but it was a fox...
So obviously I had to have it and made an exception.

Dress: Forever 21 (no longer made)
Shoes: Not sure
Bracelet: Charlotte Russe
Necklace: Forever 21
Hair Bow: Not sure

I also realize this is one of the first times I've photographed myself with my bangs.
Which I adore and love.
I can't wait for the weather to start cooling off so I can trade in my bows and headbands for beanies.

What's your favorite old piece of clothing that you recently rediscovered?

Blogtember - Only Photos aka "Sometimes I Model"

I'm jumping into the middle of Blogtember because
A. I like to live vicariously on the edge and..
B. My life revolves around photos.

I'm taking a deep breath and showing you guys something I wasn't sure I would ever share...
As a photographer I sometimes help out other fellow photogs by being their muse.
A few months ago I modeled for a boudoir shoot.
The following images are indeed... The sexier side of me.

Love via Manchester United

Before I went out of town, I did an awesome boudoir shoot with my friend Patti so she could surprise her husband for their anniversary.
Here are just a few of my favorite shots from that session.

You can see the full set from this session here.

American Camp

Part 2 in my San Juan/Oregon adventures.

Another place we went hiking at on San Juan Island was American Camp National Park.
It's named American Camp because in 1859, Great Britain and America agreed to joint occupation of the island while water boundaries were settled between the two states. American Camp was on one end of the island, English Camp was at the other.
We didn't get a chance to explore English Camp, save it for next time!

Back in Friday Harbor..
We had coffee at this great place..
Could give Starbucks a run for their money.

Then my birthday came.
Which meant our five hour kayaking trip.
I honestly didn't take many pics from the kayak since it's a lot harder then I thought it would be...
These are the few I managed to capture.

Unfortunately, no orcas graced us with their presence.
Apparently this summer has been a slow one for producing Chinook Salmon..
Which is what the orcas in this area come near the island to eat.
Disappointing but it was still really fun and just another excuse to try again next year!

I finished my birthday with dinner and ice cream by the docks with Kris.
26 gone... 27 begun.

The next morning we got on the ferry and came back to the mainland.
Next stop... Oregon.

More to come...

Sick as a dog

I have the worst cold ever and I may just be being a huge baby but I don't care.

So I'll just post some Instagram pics from over the weekend since I don't have the strength to do anything else and I have to give a speech in two hours.
Why god why?

Want to know what I looked like as a little kid?

We spent 3 hours at Starbucks the other day.
I also know this isn't my most exciting post but..

One of my very good friends just got me this as a belated birthday gift...
I can't wait to rock that purple and gold while I watch a very sexy Jared Allen...

Lime Kiln State Park

I know I've been pretty delayed on photos from my trip but I finally got down and dirty and edited a whole bunch.

I flew to Seattle (after partying hard with my friends since I wouldn't be home to celebrate my birthday) where Kris picked up myself and my hangover before driving an hour away to catch a ferry. Another few hours before we boarded the ferry, another hour to cross, and then we were in beautiful Friday Harbor, San Juan Island.

I loved San Juan Island.
Loved it.
I'm not a big seafood person but that's literally all I ate while I was there.
The first night I had the most amazing seafood pasta at Blue Water Bar & Grill.
If you ever go visit the Island, you have to eat there.
I also had the best Fried Scallops (I have a huge thing for scallops) at Friday Crabhouse which is right next door to Blue Water!

We stayed at the Orca Inn which is pretty much the only place you can find to stay at that's under $100 a night.
It was small but very clean and perfect for what we needed.

I did so much hiking while I was there.
When we weren't doing the kayaking trip... We were hiking.
I saw wildlife every day.
Black tailed deer were everywhere, there's no way you can travel the island and not see one.
We also saw porpoises from Lime Kiln Lookout, seals, chipmunks, snakes, and even some foxes from far away!
We also caught frogs near a pond in Lime Kiln!

I loved walking around Friday Harbor when we weren't exploring forests.
I also couldn't get over just how NICE everyone was.
So unlike Vegas. Must be something about living on an Island...

This is just a small taste of my experience on the island.
More coming soon.
