Tell me a little about yourself.

I am 24 years old, I just graduated college and I am ready to take on the world. I have some chronic pain issues so, I spend a lot of time online tapping into my inner creativity one of my current projects is My Beauty Empowers Me, its a site dedicated to finding your inner self and self-worth. I am all about positivity and just living life to the fullest despite any challenges that may present along the road.

Why did you get into blogging?

I got into blogging as an experiment for myself. It started as a way for me to find something everyday that made me smile. From there I noticed patterns and now over a year later we have weekly features of things that used to and still do make me smile. Anything from music CD reviews to whatever I so happened to come across on YouTube to poetry that either myself or a friend wrote!

What's the most important thing you think people should know about you?

That I LOVE the color pink. ;-) Because, life doesn't need to be serious all the time.

If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?

Anything?! I would fly! Without an airplane! I would love to just be a free spirt and fly.

It's officially August which means the last month of summer before I get to go back to my beloved hoodies and steaming hot pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. I can't wait. In the meantime though, I'm going to soak up as much sun and heat as I can. I'm going to lounge in the pool and get my drink on with my friends downtown in the warm summer nights. I'm going to wear all my favorite tank tops, skirts, maxi dresses, and shorts. And it's my birthday month! I turn twenty seven in twenty days. Wow. Frightening really.

Love Woke Me Up This Morning

Between the loss of my friend and the stress of finishing up summer semester in two weeks, I've been too distracted to get a decent post up. Can you give me a brief introduction about you and your blog?

Mother Theresa once said: "I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love." What gets you up in the morning? On the surface, at least for me, it's my iPod alarm, an enthusiastic dog, and a strong cup of coffee. To be totally honest, I'm not really a morning person. It takes me a little while to get coherent thoughts going in the early hours of the day and my snooze button is always tempting me. But eventually, I do get up. I go about my day. There's something that motivates me to gPiet my rear out of my bed and do my thing every single day.My hope is that "something," is love. I want this blog to be where I can remind myself, and you, of that. Love should be the thing that motivates me every single day.

What do you like to do for fun when you aren't blogging?

 I read ( A LOT), write novels, participate in my local community theatre, watch musicals, and spend time with my family and friends.

What is your favorite "geeky" thing?

I'm a HUGE geek - so this is a tough one to pick just one thing! I'm the biggest Harry Potter fan ever, but recently I've become a fan of Doctor Who and Supernatural. But Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart.

I'd love to have script on the side of my foot that said "walk by faith", and some birds flying up the side of my back to symbolize my spontaneous and free spirit.

What is one thing you're really passionate about? Why?

I am very passionate about ending modern-day slavery, more specifically human trafficking. There are currently 27 million slaves worldwide, and there are 17,500 people trafficked into the US annually. It's a big problem, and the 2nd largest international crime. I love doing projects for people and seeing them so happy when they see the idea they had in their head come to life. My inspiration comes from everyday things, mostly nature and personal experiences.

If I were to make a list of some of my favorite things the first five that pop into my head are:
